More to Explore This Summer in Robertson County
Article sponsored by Robertson County Economic Development
With its scenic beauty, rich history and unique experiences, Robertson County’s 11 cities and towns offer something for a solo day trip, weekend getaway with friends or overnight adventure with the family. From spring to the dog days of summer, you can purchase and pick farm-fresh delights at local farmers markets and farms, beat the heat floating on Adams’ Red River, and enjoy helicopter rides over iconic smoking barns during Springfield’s Fire Cured Festival.
Kick off your summer with U-pick strawberries at Head’s Farm through May before July rolls into blueberry picking at Shade Tree Farm & Orchard and August ushers in U-pick flowers at Paradise Falls Farm. If you’re looking for less picking and more purchasing of fresh produce, visit any or all of the county’s five local farmers markets.
Along with the weather heating up, so does our summer festival season. Spanning bluegrass to wellness, Fourth of July to ag heritage, and everything in between, there is non-stop festival fun for everyone! And if you’re working up a sweat just thinking about these summertime activities, make plans to cool off and get out on the water in style with Bell Witch Water Tanking in Adams. The experience is a cross between tubing and canoeing and is a complete Red River adventure for all ages!
