Sweet Bakes Donuts & Cakes serves up sweet treats in style in downtown Columbia. The business, which launched selling doughnuts from a folding table at the Columbia Farmers Market in 2016, later began serving them from a 1974 Lincraft camper in front of the Columbia Arts Building. Today, the bakery has found a permanent home at 1153 Trotwood Ave., but the food truck still supplies doughnuts at special events.
In addition to old-fashioned cake doughnuts in all the classic varieties, Sweet Bakes Donuts & Cakes also offers several original doughnut flavors, including maple-bacon, brown butter glazed and salted caramel, as well as handcrafted cakes and cookies.
