Submit Your Bald Eagle Photos
Bald eagle numbers have been on the rise in Tennessee in recent years, and sightings across the state have become more and more common. Once on the verge of extinction, the national symbol was removed from the federal endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2007 after decades of recovery efforts. More than 15 years later, it’s no longer as uncommon to see these impressive birds nesting in Tennessee, especially on farms and in rural areas.
