Need help with taxes this spring? Look no further than Farm Bureau Tax Service, which has tax preparers located in county offices across the state. Larger farm and business taxpayers can also take advantage of expanded services with the Farm Business program.

As tax season is upon us, Farm Bureau Tax Service offers some things you can do to make your tax preparation less painful this year:

  1. Get Organized: By taking time to organize your tax documents and financial records, the actual filing process will be faster and easier.
  2. Be Proactive: Do not wait until the last minute to start preparing your tax return, so that you have time to deal with any unexpected issues that arise.
  3. Know Your Filing Deadlines: March 1 is the deadline to file for farmers who do not make estimated tax payments. March 15 is the deadline to file or extend for partnerships, LLCs and S-Corporations. April 15 is the deadline to file or extend for individuals, C-Corporations and trusts.
