Cool Down This Summer With Dr. Enuf
A Tri-Cities original soft drink with a cult following in northeast Tennessee, Dr. Enuf got its start as the “original energy booster” back in 1949. The idea for the lemon-lime soda came from Chicago chemist Bill Swartz, who experimented with adding B vitamins and minerals to a carbonated beverage to create a fortified tonic that tasted great and provided a healthy boost.

Within just a few months, Dr. Enuf was selling out in stores across the region – and its popularity hasn’t faded. Customers today still can’t get enough the drink, especially in the Tri-Cities region where the fortified soft drink is still produced in Johnson City and sold exclusively in the brand’s iconic green glass bottles.
