Hot Tennessee summers call for plenty of ice cream, so we created a Tennessee Ice Cream Trail featuring local dairies, creameries and ice cream parlors where you can grab a sweet, frozen treat this season. From East to West Tennessee, these are some of the best spots to beat the heat with a scoop or two of your favorite flavor.

2. Sweetwater Valley Farm

Located in Philadelphia, Tennessee, Sweetwater Valley Farm is home to more than 1,500 dairy cows and is committed to producing high-quality milk and farmstead cheese. The farm also offers tours and has an on-site cafe where visitors can enjoy delicious milkshakes and other treats.

3. Sweetwater Creamery

4. Tanners Historic Cafe

    Great choices. I have been to many of these ice cream ‘parlors’. My favorite has to be Sweetwater Creamery. Homemade. Menu changes to add new flavors depending on the season. Yum.

      Rockys ice cream is the real deal huge portions and very inexpensive for the size.on 411 between vonor and greenback mkt.you won’t be disappointed.serves Hershey ice cream as well as soft serve with dips.owners and staff super friendly.

    NASH CREAMERY just outside of Shelbyville TN IS AWESOME!
    We stop by on our way to Tims Ford Lake. It has great full flavor smooth Ice Cream, nice sandwich bar, and you can take some of their cheeses home. The outdoor patio can hold the whole family. Go get some
    !
