Reach out through Facebook or other social media or find a nearby agricultural business that’s doing what you want to do and roll up your sleeves. “Even for one day, one set of hands is fantastic,” Gantt-Temple says. “And you can see their coop setup, what they feed them, challenges they’ve had.”
