Can you tell me more about Tennessee Farm Bureau membership? Tennessee Farm Bureau was formed in the 1920s as a membership organization to represent the farm and rural people of Tennessee. Farm Bureau holds to the same purpose today through public policy efforts in the Tennessee General Assembly.

How did the Farm Bureau become affiliated with insurance? Farm Bureau has always had service to members as the No. 1 priority. As the Farm Bureau progressed, members asked for additional products and services. Since most insurance companies didn’t write insurance in rural Tennessee because of the absence of fire protection, Farm Bureau started its own company in the 1948 with a single goal in mind: service to members.

What other benefits are available to me as a member? You have access to a number of insurance products, health benefits and income tax preparation services through more than 160 Farm Bureau offices across the state.

What about discounts associated with membership? We just launched a new program called Member Savings where members have access to a large network of discounts and value added offers. Best of all, we have an iPhone/Android app that keeps the offers at your fingertips.
