Goo Goo for Goo Goo Clusters
In 1912, Standard Candy Co. in Nashville made confectionery history by inventing the world’s first combination candy bar, the Goo Goo Cluster. Previously, no candy-maker ever used more than one ingredient at a time.
More than 100 years later, the classic Goo Goo is still created with milk chocolate, caramel, peanuts and marshmallow nougat, though newer varieties include Supreme (with pecans instead of peanuts) and Peanut Butter.
