Head to Ritter Farm in Red Boiling Springs for a celebration of rural heritage at the “How’d Dey Do Dat” Day this October. Attendees will get a glimpse of farm life the way grandpa lived when the farm was purchased back in 1945. Visitors can try their hand at quilting and beating the anvil or watch the blacksmith and potter at work. Festivities also include cornhole, pumpkin painting, stick horse racing and checkers on the front porch.

The event takes place on Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grandpa’s House on the Ritter Farm. To learn more, visit grandpas-house.com/DemoDay.html or call (615) 699-0166.
