Get ready to celebrate “Red, White and You,” the theme of this year’s Tennessee State Fair. The 2015 event is all about celebrating growth in recent years. Taking place Sept. 11-20 at the state fairgrounds in Nashville, it draws residents from all over the state for fun, entertainment, food, livestock events and much more.

Don’t miss the crowning of the best apple pie in the state at the Tennessee Two-Crust Apple Pie contest, or the second annual Tennessee State Fair Funnel Cake 5k.

The state fair will kick off on Patriot Day, September 11. To commemorate those who have sacrificed everything – first responders and military personnel – since the tragic events on this day in 2001, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will present the 9/11 Never Forget exhibit at the Tennessee State Fair September 11-20, 2015.

From Tiny Acres to Lucky’s Barnyard Animals, there are numerous educational exhibits for youth and the young at heart.
