Located on the campus of Agricenter International in Memphis, the Mid-South Raptor Center is the only state-licensed raptor rehabilitation facility in West Tennessee. The not-for-profit organization rescues more than 200 birds of prey each year, including eagles, owls, hawks and falcons that have been orphaned, hit by cars or suffered other injuries. After treatment and rehabilitation at the center, the birds are released and banded for future identification. Those unable to return safely to the wild live a fulfilled life at the center.

The cost of food alone for a rescued bird is $8,000 per year, and the Mid-South Raptor Center accepts donations to support their work. Tax-deductible donations go directly to the rehabilitation and treatment of injured and orphaned Tennessee birds of prey.
