Goo Goo Cluster; made in Tennessee gifts

2. Goo Goo Cluster

Inventors of America’s first combination candy bar, Goo Goo Cluster has been an iconic Nashville brand since 1912. The original cluster – featuring marshmallow nougat, caramel, freshly roasted peanuts and milk chocolate – is the perfect stocking stuffer. But don’t stop there! Goo Goo Cluster also makes peanut butter and pecan varieties, as well as bite-sized “Lil’ Goos” and premium and specialty flavors.

3. Hattie Jane’s Creamery

Hattie Jane’s Creamery is a women-founded and women-led craft ice cream brand specializing in Southern-inspired, seasonally driven flavors. The small-batch creamery and scoop shop features modern takes on Southern favorites like Nana Puddin’, Brown Butter Pecan, Malted Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough and more. The Nashville Jam Company started in the garden of Middle Tennessee residents Cortney and Gary Baron. Growing more produce than they could consume, the Barons began making jam for family and friends. After giving homemade jams away as Christmas gifts with rave reviews, they began selling their products at local farmers markets. The Barons soon started gaining a local following in Middle Tennessee, and The Nashville Jam Company was born.

Locals Only Gifts & Goods in Chattanooga offers a unique selection of crafts and goods, all made locally by more than 90 Tennessee artists and artisans. 7. Sweet Tea Candle Co.

Based in Nashville, Sweet Tea Candle Co. crafts beautiful hand-poured soy candles in a wide range of creative scents. From their signature Sweet Tea candle to fragrances like Tennessee Whiskey, Sweet Tobacco, Fruit Tea Punch and Farmhouse Fresh, there’s something for every candle lover available in their unique collection. They even offer a “615” candle inspired by Nashville. Named after the city’s area code, the scent is a complex blend of worn leather and woodsy pine. All candles are hand poured with care, contain 100% soy wax, premium fragrance oils and cotton wicks, and come in eco-friendly packaging.

Made on Acorn Hill in Jackson is a small business run by two Tennessee moms. They offer a range of handmade, all-natural bath and body products including goat milk soaps, salt scrubs, essential oils, lip balms, herbal salves, lotion bars, beard oil and much more, all made from wholesome ingredients. They also make a popular Breathe Easy Vapor Salve to ease nasal congestion and soothe coughs as well as a Bug Balm insect repellant with lemon eucalyptus and lavender.

9. Shotwell Candy Company

Born from a desire to make delicious candy as gifts for friends, Jerrod Smith founded Shotwell Candy Company out of his Memphis kitchen in 2012. After long nights of trial and error, he landed on the perfect caramel recipe. Today, Shotwell Candy Co. has grown to include several flavors of caramels, including their signature salted caramels (also available dairy-free) and many other creative varieties like bourbon and bacon, hand-crushed espresso, chocolate peppermint crunch and more. 10. L.C. King Manufacturing

L.C. King Manufacturing Company in Bristol, Tennessee, isn’t your average clothing store. The family-run company has been crafting quality workwear for more than 100 years and four generations of Kings, and their factory is the oldest continuously operating, family-owned, cut-and-sew factory in the United States.

Today, the company retains time-tested cut-and-sew techniques even as it works with designers to improve workwear fits and add new streetwear styles.
