Linger at the Lylewood Inn

Lylewood Inn, hotel

History was made on the property that is now Lylewood Inn in Indian Mound – and not just because innkeepers Jeff and Mandy Williams met there as kids at church camp 29 years ago.

Roll back 114 years and you’d find the rise of their regal brick home on a rounded hill overlooking the bustling boat traffic on the Cumberland River.

These days, things are much quieter in the little community off Highway 79 between Clarksville and Dover, near the Kentucky border. “When we see a car coming, they’re either coming to see us or they’re lost,” Jeff says wryly.

It’s a lovely place to be lost. The four antique-filled guest rooms with their gas fireplaces and scenic views make a wonderful haven. Be sure to sample Mandy’s jams, jellies and her special sweet salsa.

Nightly rates are $70 per room. For more information, visit www.lylewoodinn.com or call 931-232-4203.
