Something Cool on a Hot Day

In celebration of June Dairy Month (and the 85-degree weather outside), I traveled over to Bobbie’s Dairy Dip this week. If you’ve never visited this Nashville establishment, you are sure missing out!

Located at the corner of Charlotte and 53rd Avenues, Bobbie’s has served up ice cream, burgers, shakes and dogs since 1951 – all in the same modest building. It’s one of my favorite places in Nashville; I love perusing the lengthy menu, making my ice cream selection (always a tough choice), then plopping down on one of the picnic tables to enjoy my treat. Doesn’t ice cream always make life good?

Bobbie’s is open from late April to late October. Their hours are Monday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.
