Tennessee farmers and food producers are finding it easier than ever to connect, thanks to Tennessee Farmlink, a new Internet tool on the Tennessee Specialty Food Association’s Web site.
Tennessee Farmlink is an online virtual farmers market, where farmers can post and market fruits, vegetables and other crops directly to Tennessee food companies. The site also gives food companies and producers an opportunity to post their wish lists for locally grown items.
The result is an instant match made in Tennessee.
The project is partially funded by a grant from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Development Fund, and the service is offered at no cost to users.
You can locate the Tennessee Farmlink market board by logging on to www.TSFAgourmet.com.
Or click on the link at www.picktnproducts.org.
Many of the products listed on the Farmlink market board can also be purchased at the new online country store at www.picktnproducts.org, along with Tennessee-made grilling sauces, apple butter, jellies and jams, confections, and Tennessee-raised meats.
