If you’re interested in making better use of your outdoor space, you might consider attending an upcoming field day. Hosted by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, the Fruits of the Backyard field day will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, beginning at 8:30 a.m, at the UT Middle Tennessee Research and Education Center in Spring Hill.

Experts will be on hand to offer advice on everything from production techniques to controlling insect pests. The event will include educational seminars on table grape production, blueberry research and production, creating a beautiful lawn, and producing quality peaches. A trade show will feature area merchants and their equipment as well as exhibits from university departments and other agencies with beneficial programs and free production information.

For more information regarding the event, visit Fruits of the Backyard online or call (731) 425-4768.
