Murfreesboro’s annual Harvest Days is a surefire way to put you in the spirit of fall. It offers a foot-stomping good time, with old-time music, hayrides, pottery and blacksmith demonstrations. Held at Cannonsburgh Village, the family-friendly, free festival has been a Rutherford County tradition since 1976. Cannonsburgh Villiage is open for guided tours from May through November (closed Mondays), and showcases Tennessee life from the 1830s to 1930s.
The festival takes place October 25, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To learn more, call (615) 890-0355.

Fiber in the Boro
This event was formerly known as Harvest Days and Fiber Festival, but the fiber portion grew so popular that it’s now a standalone event. Fiber in the Boro takes place November 1, 2014 at the Lane Agricultural Center from 9 a.m. to 5p.m. For additional information, contact the fiber festival organizers. The event features sheep shearing and spinning demonstrations, and traditional fiber artists.
