Flour Power
Did you know that two major flour companies, used frequently during the holiday baking season, are based in Tennessee? Both White Lily and Martha White call the Volunteer State home.
Many Southerners consider White Lily the best flour for making biscuits. The company originated in Knoxville, milling there for 125 years, before moving its headquarters to Memphis.
Also headquartered in Memphis is Martha White, which Richard Lindsey founded in Nashville in 1899 and named for his daughter. Also known for its cornmeal and cornbread mixes, the company has a connection to country music through its status as the longest-running sponsor of the Grand Ole Opry.

Have you discontinued Martha White All Purpose Flour?
To me Martha White Selfrising flour is the best. Kroger is not carrying it where I shop. I have to go to other stores to get it. But I will because. It is the best.
So is white Lily and Martha white the same flour?
They are different companies, but similar types of flour that are great for making biscuits!
