Celebrate National Quilt Day in Maryville
Celebrate the art of quilt making at the 32nd annual quilt show in Maryville, Tennessee, May 23-25, 2014.
The National Quilting Association declared March 19 as National Quilt Day, and the Smoky Mountain Quilter’s Guild is sponsoring its annual Maryville show to celebrate the day with events including a bed turning and several quilting vendors.
The quilt show is held at the Cooper Athletic Center on the campus of Maryville College and runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. And Sunday from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Admission is $5.

The Appalachian Quilt Trail boasts more than 130 quilt barns. Headquartered in Rutledge, it stretches some 300 miles across 19 counties, piecing together farm stands, art galleries, and small businesses from Englewood in McMinn County to Kyles Ford in Hancock County.
